When I look at a country laundry, I look at a washing machine.
It released up time and bondage. It saved early mornings and dipping (female) hands in cold water.
Now only one person, the only one who lives and passes near, uses this community laundry room as a personal laundry room in which she wash by hand and then hang out, sheltered from the sun, air dried, her clothes… The delicate or the rough ones?
Life has changed, it has changed, and for the better! Let’s ask the hands who wash!
