A good soak so white is whiter and gives the impression of work done with care, this is what cleanliness conveys: care

This contrast strikes me: Clothes from outside, professional, white; clothes from inside, intimate and personal, black.

And so my theory about cleanliness and care goes to hell.

I think not, black doesn’t go with everything. In cases like this, of course, it doesn’t go well.
